Could You Help me identify this worm-like creature?

Question

After a rain, I was searching in a ditch in front of my house for tadpoles and I found this creature. It was already dead. It looks like a leech but its about eight inches long. It's black in color and has a sucker on the end. I live in a farming, rural town, in Illinois if that helps. Could anyone give me a clue on what this could be? Thanks.
