call an audi dealer and see if the transmission for the 2L is the same as the one you have.

If the cars are from the same year, then it is possible (not sure if probable).

Many of Audi and VW use the same engine / tranny.  I own an Audi and I sometime go to VW to get parts (if the Audi dealer is out).
