Could a bladder infection be the first sign of pregnancy??

4 days ago I was in the doctors office with bladder infection symptoms, and got meds for that...at the time my lower back (kidneys) did not hurt, but now they do. I'm not sure if its the medicine that they gave me that is making me nauseated, but its not all the time. I was at work and asked a few people what they thought, and I kept getting the "are you pregnant?" question. I shrugged it off, I'm on the pill, but the past two months I've been alittle bad on remembering to take them regularly. So I bought a pregnancy test, a cheap-o one, and it said positive...went and bought and ept one, and said pregnant as well. Could it be the meds that are giving me a wrong reading or what? I am about 4 days late too, and b*****s are sore.

  1. speak to your dr asap cos if you are prego then some tablets can harm your baby

  2. If you took a pregnancy test and it came back positive then you are probably pregnant. Go back to your doctor and ask them to test you just to be sure. And I don't think medicine can give you a wrong reading. Your urine has the HCG hormone in it and thats how you tell you are pregnant. Pills don't have them!  Good luck!

  3. It could be.  I have experience that as well.  I went to the doctor for a bladder infection, they gave me medicine and sent me home without doing a test.  One week later i found out that i was pregnant.  i had no symptoms at all.  I mean NONE! None but the bladder infection.  but two after i found out that i was pregnant i had a miscarriage.  I was only 4 weeks and 3days.  So all i could tell you is just take a test to be sure!
