  2. yea it culd be done shouldnt but can but ur producing a mutt i did it with a western bluetongue skink and blotchy

and i know that people have done it with carpets and balls

but it is dangerous with theyre size

  3. I have no idea what a carpet is but that would be soo rad if you made a new breed.

    :]

    like maybe a dog-python?

    try it.

  4. They can and some breeders have, but I dislike hybrids and most are sterile.  I don't see the attraction in mixing two unlike species together.

  5. Yes they could... They have.... It's been done.

They are called carpalls (ball python x carpet python).

Iran jaya carpet pythons and ball pythons are of a comparable size (about 5 ft. long), that's why they are what's used to make carpalls.

Add: I was just answering the question. My opinion was kept out of it, but is available upon request.

  6. why are there so many of these questions?

its not recommended. carpets get so big that by the time it can breed, as well as the ball python, the carpet would possibly eat or kill your ball python. it really isnt a good idea to mix different species of snakes. no one has ever tried it because one or both of snakes would die. its like trying to breed a cat and a dog, it cant and shouldnt be done. so im saying to just keep snakes with their own species when it comes to breeding.

  7. Yes.

    They are called carpalls.

Should they be bred? No. Ball pythons should be bred to ball pythons. Carpet pythons should be bred to carpet pythons.

Don't make hybrids, its not right nor safe most of the time, I don't give a c**p about how cool they look, its wrong.
