  1. He can choke on a bone, and ushually they will vomit it up, but if they don't it's imnportant you take your dog to the vet!

  2. a dog can choke on a single peice of kibble!

just like you could choke on a single bite of chicken...so yeah...

  3. Yes dogs can choke, they can choke on anything that fits in their mouths, they can even (and frequently do) choke on kibble.

What type of bones are you giving?

My dogs are raw fed, they get a variety of raw meaty bones. If they gobble their raw meaty bone up to fast, they will hork it back up for a "redo".

  4. If it gets lodged in the throat, it's kind of hard to get out.

  5. Yes, a dog could choke on a bone, a toy, or even kibble if it got caught in their throat.  If you're feeding bones make sure they are raw bones and NEVER cooked. Cooked bones splinter.

  6. yes dogs could choke on bones

  7. No, it's not natural! Take it to a vet if it continues... make sure the bone is big enough!

  8. Yes, a dog can choke when he's eating. A dog can also choke when he's not eating if he has a hairball or something. It's natural for a dog to barf and vomit it out. Same thing with people, if you're choking on something you'll throw up if it won't come up.

  9. Yes they most definitely can choke on bones.  I don't give my dogs real bones for that very reason.  I only give mine the real bones found in packaging at places like pet smart.  They love em, and I've never had a problem with chocking.  I take them away when they get on the small side.  They last a decent amount of time also...
