  1. Dreams are a significant part of our life. They are as real and unreal as life itself. Dreams are extremely personal, and transpersonal, too. Our dreams are a reflection of ourselves: in dreams, no matter how many characters appear, we meet ourselves. Dreams are mirrors to our soul. They can help us to better understand ourselves, our world, and the nature of reality. Dreams introduce us to other dimensions of experience. Here, time and space are much more liquid and plastic; they can be shaped and reshaped almost at will. Dreams hint of other worlds, other lives. They are a glimpse of our afterlife.

Great healers have long recognized the power of dreams to inform and support us and have said they are important ways in which to diagnose a patient's illness. Sigmund Freud used a patient's dreams in his psychoanalysis. Certain dreams can convey the subconscious, valuable information to the dreamer.

Old philosophy: life is but a dream.

  9. Yeah, we are all really living in a dream of illusions.

  10. life is a dream to some the rest are in a nightmare but a theory has it nothing is real like what if life is nearly a game for the gods as we live on earth somewhere lies a table with a bunch of gods seated around it playing roullette and if the ball lands on your number your gone and that god wins kinda makes you wonder huh

  11. Your perception of reality exists entirely in your mind as well as do dreams. Imaginations.

When learning something new, it is said, that you should visualize yourself doing it. Feel yourself swinging the golf club, giving a speech in front of people, playing the piano etc... At this point your imaginations are passing for very real experience.

What is life but a series of experiences and your perspective of them.

You have experiences and thoughts about those experiences while still

in the dream state. For example: You are dreaming about being chased by a bear; perhaps your running from the bear in fear for your life, or your a martial artist taking the bear toe to toe.

Well, whatever it was you were doing with the bear, you were full of some kind of emotion, having all kinds of thoughts about it and if you were to be stuck in that dream state for the rest of your life it would be very much a reality to you.

Yes I believe that a dream can substitute for reality, and if this was to occur I doubt you would know the difference.
