  1. No, it can't.  Sorry, but great white sharks (Carcharadon caracharias) do not swallow large carcases whole.  They take bites only as large as they can swallow, and in order to be swallowed whole, the carcass wound have to be able to fit inside the creatures mouth without being folded up first, meaning that such a shark would have to be bigger than a blue whale.

    One bite from a great white will usually kill the one bitten.  Chain mail shark suits will protect you completely against most shark bites, but against a great white, you're toast.  Their teeth might not be able to penetrate the chain mail, but their jaws are so powerful they can cut through the densest bones.
