We're visiting the Philly area next month: one night in Con-Shy and 5 downtown on Chestnut St. What do you think of:

Flanigan's Boathouse

Fayette Street Grille

Chiangmai Thai

Totaro (2 places)

Spamps

Vigianno's

  1. All the places you list are in Conshohocken

The Boathouse is your average sports bar with good wings and sandwiches.  They have about 20 beers on tap and attracts a young crowd.  Very similar to the Great American Pub 20 feet away.

The Fayette street Grille is a BYOB with a pre-fix menu for dinner.  Somewhat older crowd, but descent food.

Chiangmai Thai - Once found a roach in their food.

Totaro's - Great place.  They have everything from classic Italian to game meats like boar and aligator.  Can get very expensive.

Spamps - Slightly upscale with a sushi bar.  Nice place to eat.  After 10pm, the tables are moved and it gets packed with 20 somethings dancing.

Vigianno's - Standard Italian BYOB.  Good portion size but average food.

The place getting all the praise right now is Blackfish.  It is a BYOB located between the Pub and the boathouse on Fayette.  Coyote Crossing is also good for outdoor dining.

  2. Swanky Bubbles (Old City) on Front street between Market and Chestnut Street, they have great food.

  3. The wings at Flannigan's are awesome, they have a Chipotle Lime sauce which is fantastic.

  4. the Mosholu is better
