Question:

Could a safety-critical project linger for years, with little progress ?

If there are "problems" with the project, isn't it likely that rogue staff have been sabotaging the project - for example by saying "Use the most recent version of everything" ? The system can't be fixed, within the guidelines that have been set up. Fixing the system would involve violating taboos.

  1. Of course it could, cause computers will be thinking for themselves, like robots, why we want this technology I dont know, but maybe I've watched terminator too many times! :)
