People take scientific measurements there already as far as I know so there is historical data to mine for information as well as the fact that park rangers and staff for these places could be assigned the job of taking measurements for scientists in america and across the world to analyze and interpret specifically designed to detect enviromental problems and climate change effects on natural habitats and wildlife all over the entire united states structured in such a way so that reasonibly intelligent laymen could understand it?. Couldn't all this be done for little money and hardly any new equipment?

  1. You can't think of state parks as static and lasting forever. What happens when the climate changes and these parks are no longer the same habitat? Do you think that every species will just stay in the same place? Some species will migrate or spread into new regions (if they can), and the new areas will become their habitat. New and changing habitats require new studies.
