Question:

Could an Evangelical Christian group possibly become violent towards my Coven?

Now I haven't been part of this group for too long though I have been studying demons for awhile and have found an interest in Wiccan/Pagan practices, so I explained my case and they let me in. However recently I went to a Evangelical mass exorcism and was really surprised at what they were saying. At one point they were talking about the Pagans and Wiccans and mentioned how they (The Evangelicals) must fight against them. It was like they wanted to war against them or something. I mean I really began to get a bit nervous on how vicious some of their words were against them.

Now I'm just curious would an Evangelical group actually become violent against a Pagan/ Wiccan Coven? And about this, would is actually consist of violence or just constant nagging about how we're going to h**l?

The only I don't get is that there is another Christian group and an Islamic group about 2 towns over and they have no problem with us. It just seems these Evangelicals are wanting the Crusades to come back.

  1. Boy...

you would really have to hope that people

who consider themselves to be Christians

and believers in God, would not become

    rabble rousers simply because they

don't agree with anyone else's beliefs.

In dealing with others whose beliefs

may be contrary to your own-

    try to remember one thing-

    Gods didn't invent religion...

    man did.

  2. That is probably the most naive question I've ever seen on here.

  3. I really wouldn't put it past them. There are so many ignornat people, who don't take the time to sit down and try to understand other religions, etc...

Talk to the leaders in your coven. Tell them what you heard and what your concerns are. Ask them if they have ever had a problem with this before.

If something does happen call the local police. Tell them that there are trespassers who are acting violently toward the group. Ask them to come and remove them from the property.

  4. The evangelicals don't really represent real Christianity, and I wouldn't put it past them to act violently towards other people with different beliefs. They are essentially religious zealots, and they seem like they're always becoming more dangerous.

You should be careful not to upset anyone or call attention to yourself, and always be ready to flee or contact the authorities if you feel threatened.

  5. Considering no one has burned a witch in first-world countries in at least 300 years, I really wouldn't get worked up about it.

That said, most monotheistic-based religions don't think Wiccans are just harmlessly running around in the woods, worshipping trees or rocks or whatever. Don't expect them to embrace your beliefs.

  6. If this is a group of extremists merely flying the flag of Christianity then run for the hills; they're some of the most dangerous people you'll meet.

However, if this is a legitimate group then the fighting they refer to is spiritual. In no way would they physically harm you.

  7. yes

  8. Unfortunately, history is full of instances where religious Christian zealots have attacked and killed pagans.  It can happen.  One would hope that modern people would have the sense not to do something horrific, but then again look at the KKK.  They were lynching people until quite recently in history.

The combination of religious fervor and ignorance of other religions is a dangerous cocktail.  I would warn the coven.  Anonymity is the best safeguard.  But if this Evangelical group knows some of the members, the best course is to get the two groups together so they can learn about each other.  Maybe this will show the radicals that Wicca is a peaceful religion, with many of the same goals, and halt the us vs. them thinking.

If "accident" start to happen to anyone in the coven, get law enforcement involved immediately.  Forewarned is forearmed.

  9. good luck.

  10. If they care more about the zealot way, then the will of Christ, then yes, it is possible. Lets hope, that nothing happens to you, but don't forget, you are as protected by the law as they are, if they attack you, they have to live with the consequences - in prison!

  11. Greetings!

Remember that the World is full of violence, murders, wars, and that Religion is not separate or exempt from the World.

Always be Aware, all-ways be Prepared. Now you get to see REAL Demons and what they like to do!

    Have a nice day!
