Skeleton Key is suspenseful without being to scary or gory.

Prom Night, with Brittany Snow, was really good ! It had a little bit of blood, but a really good movie. There's also Premonition, 1408, and The Eye were all great movie.

I recommend that you don't get One Missed Call.. it was awful !

The best 2 thriller style movies I've seen in the last 6 months are Shattered and Taken.  Excellent movies.  You can watch them free at http://www.movieplanets.com .  Just do a search for them and then watch them right online.  You don't have to download anything to your hard drive or use those dangerous file sharing programs.

shutter is a pretty good thriller, there's only a little bit of gore in it.
