Please help me edit the paragraph below. Thank you very much!

If you meet someone for the second time or more, you can't say "Nice to meet you." If you say so, he would think you have forgotten about him. You could say "Nice to see you again."

I'm not sure whether "If you meet someone for the second time or more" makes sense. I just want to say "If you meet someone you have already met before." It may be the second time, the third time...

  1. It should read something like this:

If you meet a person that you have briefly met before...

    or

If you meet a person that you've only known for a short time...

    or

If you meet someone that you've only met on one or two prior occasions...

  2. I just simple mention at the end of the conversation which may have occurred meanwhile coming across each other...so i just go this: It was nice to seeing you!

    :)

  3. The previous poster didn't answer the question.

I agree with you.  "someone you ahve already met before" not only makes more sense, but it is actually better grammar.  "For the second time or more" is too verbose.

  4. This is how I would write it-

If you see someone you've previously met, you mustn't say: "Nice to meet you", in case they think you've forgotten about them. Instead, you should say: "Nice to see you again."

  5. Just say:

''Hello nice to meet you again, how you doing?''

Just keep it informal and relaxed.

If you remember that you have met the person before he will most likely remember.

Even if he has forgot it doesnt matter because he will be the one that feels stupid for forgeting.

Just relax, all will be fine
