Could any one PLZ clear my doubts regarding PASSPORT?

I'm 20 years old...i want to apply passport..i live in Hyderabad....

My father's surname is "KATTA" and in my Certificates(SSC,+2..) i have "KATLA"..by mistake...

Are there any constraints while applying for PASSPORT that father's and son's surname should be same

  1. There are no such constraints. I have a close friend who has a unique surname.. very different from his father's name.. put down your name exactly as you have in your certificates and your father's name as it is in his certificates.

  3. make an affidavit from court and give a advt in newspaper for the name correction. attach a copy of both with the passport application form.
