The normal boiling point of methanol is 64.7C. A solution containing a nonvolatile solute dissolved in methanol has a vapor pressure of 516.7 torr at 64.7C. What is the mole fraction of methanol in this solution?

  1. you are missing some piece of info, basically you have  to use pv = nRT formula

    and then use mole fraction = moles of methanol/moles of solution

    but i dont see how it can be solved using the info you have provided
