Question:

Could anybody explain what is "uvetta passolina"?

It's an italian name for a herb I think, that is used for tea infusions and food receipes as well. I need to translate it into Romanian but I have no clue. A translation in English or French and an explanation of what it is may be helpful.

Thanks a lot!

  1. It's similar to raisins (in Italian, "uva passa" or "uvetta"), but grapes are smaller; the most correct use is "uva passa" for salty cakes, "uva passolina" for sweet cakes. But don't take it as a rule :)

And yes, it's used for tea infusions, as well.
