Looking to finish my basement and need some knowledge on drywall, ceiling ideas, lighting options, etc.

this is kind of an open question.  I have finished many basement.   Ranging from $2500 for a 1000 sq ft basement to  $ 125,000 for a 3000 sq ft basement. As far as determining your budget to finish your basement, the average is,  1/3 of your homes present value.

Lighting..  check local lighting supply co. websites.

drywal...  its ...  hang, tape mud sand,  mud sand, mud sand

Lastly   try not to do any business with any ..HomeDepot or Lowes,   they sell products which are theres exclusively, and when you need a part which only they sell, they dont have it. Special order and you have to wait.
