I work for an exporter company in Brazl and I have this customer who asked me for an invitation letter in order to apply for a visa to come to Brazil. Could somebody send a sample of this letter that needs to be written to the consulate?

  1. First, where is he traveling from?  And why does he need a Visa to visit Brazil... I doubt a Visa is needed for a simple visit, only for an extended stay/

  2. Depending on the nationality a visa may or may not be necessary.  If he is an American, a visa is required.  In any case, he needs to go to the Brazilian embassy or consulate in his country with his passport  and fill out an application  form and pay the fee.

  3. Like Australia, a visa is required to travel from US to Brazil.  The previous answer is correct.  The letter can be very simple, addressed to your customer and invite him/her to visit your company.  "Dear Mr. Smith, We would like to have you visit our company in Brazil....."  When your customer receives the letter, he/she can bring it to the consulate.  This is no big deal.  Just a proof of reason for travel.

  4. You NEED to have a visa to go to BRAZIL!

As you are going for business.. just ask the company to write a letter to the brazilian consulate saying that they request you to go there for business...

But I doubt that you can't get your visa just because of that...  if you apply for a visa... empty handed...

    you will get one :)

  5. I dont think its actually to the consulate.

Its simply a letter from you to your customer, inviting them to visit your company in Brazil and the reasons why, so they can take it to the embassy and show they have purpose of visit.
