Could anyone give me information on a Salem Ornamental tarantula?

Question

i found a tarantula in my car yesterday (This is weird because i live in the north of england)

i think it was a Salem Ornamental tarantula but cannot find any information on it.

Can someone please help?

That is extremely weird, as they are a species of Indian arboreal (tree climbing) tarantula.  They are also worth a LOT of money (300$ for an adult female is a fair price, 50$ for an unsexed spiderling).  They are very fast, defensive, and pack some of the worse venom of any tarantula, able to carry symptoms such as bad cramping, high fever, and arthritis-like joint pain for more than 2 weeks.

It must be an escaped pet, if it is an salem ornamental (Poecilotheria formosa), pay a visit to the following sites to verify and figure out what to do with it.

Once you catch it, I would put an add up at arachnoboards.com.  You can probably find someone in your area who could pick it up from you.

If you can send me a pict of it, I would be glad to help verify the kind of tarantula it is.
