  1. I would think that you should try to deal with it the best way you can, it's the only way you'll be able to work through this. You can't hide from everything difficult your whole life. We, as humans learn and grow the most through our pain and hardships. If you can face your fears here, you'll be a much stronger person for the effort.

  2. Hi! There are 2 general ways to deal with that.

    1) Homeschooling- I am homeschooled and enjoy it. There is not much cost, besides the cost of textbooks. How long does it take? It takes all year long, and from 2-4 hours a day.

    2) Online Schooling- I have never gone to school online, but it is supposed to be really cool. You have VIRTUAL teachers, so no going to school. They give you assignments by e-mail, or something like that.It is kind of expensive, though. It takes all year long, and about 4 hours a day.

Some online schools that seem to be popular are:

    1)  http://jubileeacademy.com/

    2)  http://www.themorningstaracademy.org/

    3)  http://www.newhopehomeschool.org/

    Online High Schools:

    4)  http://www.keystonehighschool.com/

    5)  http://www.kaplanhighschool.com/info/?ci...

  3. Check the homeschooling requirements for your state. Talk with your parents about homeschooling and online schooling. Check K12 and Connections Academy they both offer free online public schools for some states. Remember your parent(s) are the only people who can withdraw you from your current school. Take care and good luck to you.

  4. Yes, there are alternatives.  And it isn't particularly unusual for people to have the anxieties you face at attending school, unfortunately, most people just expect others to "buck up" and make do.  But it doesn't provide you with the best learning environment, by a long shot.

Homeschooling options are plentiful.  But they're different for each state.  You need to see what the requirements are for your area, then you can decide how you want to meet them.  Some people use a set cirriculum in a box, others use the computer - virtual learning academies, some people homeschool through their public school systems, some people use absolutely NO cirriculum, just study by reading books of their choice on things that interest them (both fiction & nonfiction), attending events and field trips, mentoring others, or taking jr college classes on specialized interests.

Meet people in your area who homeschool - CALL A LOCAL HOMESCHOOL ORGANIZATION SO THEY CAN ANSWER QUESTIONS SPECIFICALLY FOR YOUR AREA - this forum is worldwide and people have to follow different steps in each state.  Here's a place to find organizations in your state:

Here is a great breakdown for state laws/requirements:

Please be sure to hook up with a State Homeschool organization which Anne Zeiss should list up their on that first link - they will get you info you need, and help you study up on resources so you can approach your parents in an informed way.

  5. If you have an interest in homeschooling, have your parents view some sites to provide them with the information they need to make such a decision. A good site to visit is A-Z! http://homeschooling.gomilpitas.com/
