Could anyone help me identify this utensil? It looks like something used in the kitchen, pre-1940. I bought it at a yard sale. I couldn’t find a picture of it the book, From Kitchen to Hearthstove, which covers pre-1930 kitchen implements. Would appreciate any leads, such as helpful websites, books, forums, etc.

  1. ~~My guess is a pie pricker. The sides would do the top crust while the bottom did the bottom of the pie (to keep the crusts from bubbling). I sure would love to know when you get the answer confirmed, it's very interesting!~~

  2. Grater for hard cheeses, fruit zests, etc.

  3. Looks like something that could have been used on melon's. Or possibly a tool for wood working.

Send a photo of it to an antiques dealer and ask them.
