  1. seven days??? flying into Milan?

Nights one and two in Milan. Have your hotel concierge plan what to see. Rent a car --- drive to Firenze. Spend the third night there, then drive back to Verona (home of Romeo and Juliet) == fourth night. Drive to Venice (a couple of hours) spend nights five and six there, outside the city where rooms are cheaper. Morning of the sixth day, drive back to milan for your last day.

  2. hey

i grew up touring italy most of the time!

such a gr8 place congrats on getting married and choosing what is in my opininion the nicest place on earth to spend ur honeymoon.

check our parma - famous for ham

check out turin - host to the winter games

it all really depends on how much travelling you want to do and ur budget

  3. Italy can be very distracting because there is so much to see so I'm looking at this from the perspective of spending time with your spouse - gentle strolls, talking over cappuccino and relaxation. Venice is the ultimate honeymoon vacation and isn't terribly far away (2.5 hours, $43, by train) from Milan.

I'd spend 2 days in Milan to see the Cathedral, the Duomo, the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II and to recover from a long flight. Then I'd take a train Venice and spend the remainder of the time there. Things to see in Venice are:

    St. Marks Basilica / Square

    Doge's Palace

    Rialto Bridge

    Murano glass manufacturing

    Burano

    Lido
