I had my birthday yesterday and it wasn't so great. nobody really cared about it in my family of 8 brothers and sisters and my mom has to work all day yesterday so we couldn't celebrate it without her, and i had this really bad hip pain. And i didn't really get anything but my mom can celebrate it tommorow with us but its still not the same, so its probably my worst birthday. can you cheer me up?

  1. Happy Birthday to you - and many, many, more!

I doubt it is because they don't care, but because they are overwhelmed with trying to "keep it together" on a day-to-day basis.  And kudos to your mom for working so hard and doing the best she can to take care of you and your siblings.  Even if she cannot celebrate until another day -- so what?  She still wants to acknowledge YOU and the day that you came into her life.  Material gifts (although fun to get) are not important.  You already have a great gift -- your hard working family.  So, how about hugging each and everyone of your family members, (give Mom a HUGE hug), and tell them "thank you" and that you love them.  This probably is not what you wanted to hear, but please -- just think about it (?)  - no - DO IT!  It will be the best gift you could ever give to them AND yourself.  : )

*Sorry for your hip pain.  I have scoliosis, herniated disks in my  neck, degenerative arthritis affecting my spine, and osteo-arthritis , so I know what it is like to have hip pain.  If your mom has health benefits, or  access to a medical clinic that has policy plans that consider income factor, please go and get checked out.  You are way too young to have this kind of pain.

    Happy happy birthday to YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Sure can.   Turn 40 and have your own children not remember you.  Not one call from my family or anything.  Don't get me started on birthdays here.  They turn my stomache.  Mother's day was just as bad this year.  It fell on the 16th year of my real mother's death.

2008 sucks for me.  My washing machine broke, I broke my finger, my step kids lived with us and didn't pay rent, God let loose and brought down hail, so now I have to replace our roof, had two water leaks and then my dish washer went out.

**** happens.  Life sucks, then you just pick up and move forward (don't like the other way)

  3. i'll try my best =] ummm...for my 16th birthday i went and took my drivers test and failed...GREAT gift huh?? and my parents got me a first aid kit for my car. the only "special" thing i had to eat was an arby's chocolate shake..does that help any?? :)
