  1. tom tom is good my wifes road knowlage is ,as much use as a chocolate tea pot ,and she has no probs getting places

  2. You are best to look at the TOM TOM range, give ARGOS a try

  3. Hi Catjam,

The new range of Sony sat navs come packed with features, but do tend to be priced over your £100 pound budget. The  Sony entry model we feature (the U82G) comes in at £149.00 but definitely represents value for money. It has an to use one-touch large (4.8") wide-screen and comes pre-loaded with a Traffic Camera Database.

However, there is still plenty of choice around the £100 mark. TomTom, Garmin and Navman (all big names in sat navs) all have models in this price range. As to which one to go for, I'm afraid a lot comes down to personal choice. The three models: TomTom one Explore at around £105, Garmin Nuvi 200w also around £105, and the Navman S30 around £90, are all very similar.

The Garmin boasts the biggest screen size out of the three, which is always nice, but TomTom have a great reputation for being user-friendly and have clear maps.

Out of the three models I would go for the Garmin, owing to the larger screen size, but if you are willing to stretch the budget a little, the Sony weighs in very nicely with more features and a larger screen size.

Hope this gives you some ideas of which model you want to buy your husband.

  5. If you look on Amazon for sat navs you be able to read feed back. I think you  can buy a Garmin that has Europe maps included for about £100. I have a Garmin and find it easy to use and I chose this because of the feed back as some contributors have both Tom Tom and Garmin but they are both good with Tom Tom having slightly better graphics.

Make sure you get the model which includes the suction cup, car charging lead, and mains charger, some do not and you will find that these are expensive when purchased separately.

What a nice wife I had to buy my own

  6. I bought a Garmin 300T from Tesco a couple of weeks ago - currently on special offer at £99.97.  I chose this model because it comes with free traffic updates for life and has everything in the box (i.e. case, suction cup mount, option to subscribe to safety cameras, plus others).

So far I love it.  Only down side is I can only get a woman's voice to give me directions, but other than that its great.

  7. I have a navman and its pretty good. It was £100 reduced to 79.99 in halfords ( mines in pink though you better go for a different colour).

  8. a nav man is a good one

  9. we have a tom tom and its very easy to use!
