I like horror movies involving ghosts, spirits, evil, exorcisms, devil, inexplicable events and so on, not those with maniacs running around the place for blonde models! I`ve seen The ring, the grudge, ammityville, emily rose and many many more, could you recommend some other good titles? Thank you!

  1. The Exorcist (from 1973)...very scary.

    1.) The Marsh

    2.) Haunted

    3.) Gothika

    4.) The Eye

    5.) The Orphanage

    6.) The Others

  3. one i saw recently very like the grudge called shutter, its about ghosts being captured on camera

  4. Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds". Scared the bejesus out of me.

  5. For a real creepy film based on true events check out:

    Picnic at Hanging Rock (1975)

On a drowsy St. Valentine's Day in 1900, a party of girls from a strict boarding school in Australia goes on a day's outing to Hanging Rock, a geological outcropping not far from their school. Three of the girls and one of their teachers disappear into thin air. One of them is found a week or so later, but can remember almost nothing. The others are never found. This movie will freak you out to no end.

    Also a good ghost story:

    The Univited (1944)

A brother and sister move into an old seaside house they find abandoned for many years on the English coast. Their original enchantment with the house diminishes as they hear stories of the previous owners and meet their daughter (now a young woman) who now lives as a neighbor with her grandfather. Also heard are unexplained sounds during the night. It becomes obvious that the house is haunted. The reasons for the haunting and how they relate to the daughter whom the brother is falling in love with, prove to be a complex mystery. As they are compelled to solve it, the supernatural activity at the house increases to a frightening level.

    The Innocents (1961)

In the Victorian England, the tutor of the teenagers Flora (and her brother Miles hires the governess Miss Giddens to raise the children in their huge mansion with total independence and authority. Sooner, Miss Giddens believes that the ghosts of the former governess Miss Jessel and housekeeper Peter Quint are in the property haunting the children, and she decides to help them to face the spirits and get their souls free.

  6. You may get some god horror movies free from

  7. Stephen King's "It", is a must-see. It is, if you don't already know, about an evil being in clown form, taking the shape of whatever kids are afraid of. I won't tell you the ending, you've got to watch it for yourself :)

You can usually get It really cheap (about £5), because it is about twenty years old :3

  8. spirits/ghosts....

    white noise 1 and 2

    the skeleton key

    gothika

    devil/evil.....

    rosemarys baby

    dolls

    end of days

    the ninth gate

otherwise a classic [made by roman polanski] is fearless vampire killers or .....the mist ,the fog [original], the thing ,alien [and its sequels],species [there are 4 films ] and much much more....

    enjoy :)

  9. I have two words for you: Alfred Hitchcock. Rebecca, Psycho and the Birds are very scary without being explicit.
