  1. Rosario Vampire, both a manga and anime series.

Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines, a game though it's a bit old.

I can't actually think of any good vampire novels, a lot of them tend to be badly written romances as an excuse to have male vampire x male vampire action.

  2. OK, everybody had done the Twilight and Anne Rice thing.

Have you tried the Anita Blake - Vampire Hunter series?

There are a lot of alternate reality books along this theme.  Dead Till Dawn is a good read.  Staying within the Genre and not necessarily just Vampire, you could try "A Fist Full of Charms." (More witches and emons).

    Luck

  3. Twilight for sure! Its the best vampire book! If it's an anime or manga then vampire knight would be best.

  4. The Saga Of Darren Shan by Darren Shan is an amazing Vampire series centred around vampires and puts a nice twist on many vampire legends

  5. -The "House of Night" series by P.C and Kristen Cast is pretty good, and an interesting take on vampirism in general. The first book is called "Marked".

-Someone else mentioned " 'Salem's Lot" by Stephen King. I love Stephen King, and this is one of his best (in my opinion).

-As far as movies go, "The Lost Boys" will always be a favorite (no, it has nothing to do with Peter Pan).

-I would only recommend "Twilight" if you're partial to romance novels.

    I think that's it, sadly.

    I can't think of anymore.

  6. I've got a huge list of vampire series and one-offs here: http://www.squidoo.com/vampiretales

It includes romance, action, horror, and comedy, as well as some nonfic about vampire lore and links to other booklists.

  7. lik most ppl here u should check out the twilight series by stephenie meyer :) its very popular right now- theres even a movie coming out soon near december

  8. Twilight!!

  9. Twilight of course

  10. The vampire chronicles by Anne rice is a must

  11. The Twilight saga is great :)

plus in December there is a movie comming out about the first book!!!

  12. The vampire acadamy

    vampirates

    the vampire diaries

  13. "The Historian" by Elizabeth Kostova = amazing!!! I really recommend this to EVERYONE! Probably my favourite at the moment, very... erm, historical :D

"I Am Legend" by Richard Mathieson = it's nothing like the film (everything is different - they just copied the title), I read it long before the film came out and it's one of my favourites :D Lots of scary vampire moments... (and they are vampires in the book).

"Dracula" by Brahm Stoker = just started reading this one and it's fabby. It was written long before all of the cheesy horror cliches which makes them all seem new and exciting when you come across them.

Also try the Anne Rice series. I love my vampire themed novels and these are some of the best I have ever read. What have you read so far? :D

  14. Anne Rice: The Vampire Chronicals. Well written beyond compare to anything else.

Stephen King: 'Salem's Lot. Not a series, but amazing all the same.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: originally a television series but has also been translated into comics and novels.

There's also the Anita Blake: Vampire Slayer series, but I was never all too fond of it due to the fact that s*x is very heavily involved. The idea of vampires (reanimated corpses) having s*x is irritating to me.

  15. There are a few out there, try these

    Susan Sizemore's Prime Series

    Lara Adrian - Midnight series

    Christine Feehan - Carpathians

Laurell K Hamilton - Anita Blake series.

I love these books, and I  too also look for simialr books.
