Question:

Could anyone suggest a good coffee?

I've used Folgers now, classic, for years, and would like to try other coffees, could anyone advise me. No, I do not care for the instants.

I personally prefer Starbucks but some people find it too strong. You can go into most grocery stores now and find as many "gourmet" coffees as there are commercial brands like Folgers. Try Seattle's Best if you can find it, it's a good alternative to Starbucks and it's not roasted as dark and strong. Go with Colombian to start and work your way up to the African beans if you like a richer coffee. After awhile you'll never want to drink Folgers or Maxwell House again.

my favorite store available coffee would have to be Maxwell House brand - French Roast, though I enjoy almost any variety except the Master Blend...

I also like the Starbucks coffee...but it can be difficult to find depending on where you live and can be expensive also...

For a better quality of coffee I prefer Gevalia...almost every flavor is extremely enjoyable to me...lol! But you have to order it and it is pricey, but well worth it if you are a coffee lover - lol!

the best coffee i have ever had is called Gevalia you can not buy it in stores and it comes from Kenya, it has to be ordered. It is more on the mild side and i didnt even like the taste of coffee until my friend got me to try this. i order it in 6 weeks supply now.

Arabian Mocha Sanani from Starbucks. It's strong and a bit expensive, but very good.

Don't grind it until you are ready to brew it. It does not stay fresh for long after it is ground.

Krups makes a good coffee grinder that is about $30

Eight O'Clock brand is not too bad, Seattle's Best, Starbucks and Mountain Green are also good brands of coffee - I especially like the flavored coffees they put out.

If you don't mind buying it on the internet Cafe Britt is awesome!

For a grocery store brand Cafe du Monde is good too.
