What a HUGE break for McCain. Bush and Cheney have both been dropped from the docket at the RNC.

  1. well when AIDS outbreak came McCain said it was a sign that there should be no g**s because it wiped them out. Gustav should be a sign for the republicans to drop out and it wasn't meant to be.

  2. No doubt, can you imagine having the worlds two most hated men talking at your convention. But still just listening to McCain makes me want to go to sleep. They need to give him more oxygen!

  3. Yeah, and on top of that he gets a free photo op..

  4. Getting Bush and Cheney to dodge the convention certainly didn't hurt.

How did McCain s***w over the Katrina victims and Biden didn't?  I missed that one.

  5. This is the biggest break McCain could get. Keeping Bush in Texas and Cheney no where to be found. ( AGAIN )

  6. They would seriously hurt their party if they said a word.  Why isn't Cheney running.  With control of the White House aren't the VP's a shoe in?  Oh yeah!  He, like ALL republican, is an idiot.

  7. Are you eating stupid soup for breakfast again?, this hurricane has stolen all of the media from what was supposed to be our parties chance to whoop it up.

Once again the media finds a way to not cover McCain and give Barry Hussein a free ride.

  8. I'm wondering what a hurricane in the gulf has to do with cancelling a first day of a convention in Minnesota...Its purely political...McCain is suddenly trying to look presidential...

  9. I don't think that McCain welcomes the storm, but I do think that he welcomes the break!  How could the Rebubs allow the most hated President in history speak for them?  They should distance themselves far from Bush and his policies.

People are hungry for a change, for their lives to be better.  It is insanity to keep doing things the same way and expect change.  It won't be until people open their eyes and hearts and realize that it is not about a color or gender this election is about change and that for the better.  Please get your minds off of Obama's skin color and seriously consider his agenda and issues we have before us.  You won't regret it.

  10. and interupt a convention planned for two years....Yeah, right!  Tell us another one

  11. No this storm only remind the American peoples how McCain and the Bush administration left those american peoples mother and their babies to die in  New Orleans doing katrina .

    OBAMA /BIDEN 2008

  12. This whole thing is Hilarius but the down side is they will make MCCain look like a victim of the storm.

  13. Well it's a chance for McCain to show he is compassionate. Cynical... But, if he was so compassionate, why didn't he donate some of his family's millions and millions to help the victims of the last storm - Katrina?

  14. That's just rude.  A natural disaster is nothing to hope for and I am sure McCain doesn't welcome it.

  15. I do not think it is a fair thing to say.  This storm is very serious and it was almost as bad as Katrina was at the time.  To say that this could help McCain boost his credibility with the people is pure selfishness.  I do think that both candidates should help the victims and show their support, but they should not use this to get votes.  I think they need to be sincere and truly support those affected.
