If we can renew Christianity from schools, and other public places. Why not remove the alcohol beverages, cents it serves no purpose and only destroys the minds of teenagers. It is the wicked evil. I believe it can be renewed if not then removed from some states.

so how many people would believe that it could be done. I'm going to see about that, and stand for what is right. One day there will be no alcohol beverages, that is my desire to accomplish.

  1. First, increasing religion is not going to get rid of alcohol. The regions with the largest religious base also tend to have the most alcohol sold. The relationship probably isn't directly related but caused by singular sources: people in economic trouble tend to be more religious and also drink more.

Second, every attempt at prohibition in history has failed. Countries today with alcohol laws still have alcohol in every case. The process to make it simply isn't that hard, people want it, there's a market therefore it exists.

Third, I don't see what "renew Christianity from schools" has to do with anything. Most schools in this country were religious for the first century of US history. During that same time there was plenty of alcohol. Clearly one has no impact on the other.

Finally, as for "wicked evil", I'd remind you that according to the religion you're endorsing as the cure to the evils of alcohol: Jesus was no stranger to wine. He even created some for a wedding.

  2. I just had the best laugh i have had in years, while i drink my beer. good luck buddy. moron.

  3. Maybe you should actually try reading and comprehending the bible...it is not against drinking...it is against drunkeness

Jesus turned water into wine, did he not?  He also served wine at the last supper, did he not?  And don't give me the grape juice argument, because that would indicate that you obviously have no idea about the fermentation process...

  4. what about drugs?

    can we keep drugs?

  5. You sound like the Taliban. What's next executing girls for getting raped?

Hate is a Christian (basically monotheist) value.

  6. Remove all you want to.  I make my own, anyway.

  7. Bwahahaha, good luck with that.  Mankind has been tipping the bottle longer than they've been flipping the pages of a Bible.

  8. Regardless of your beliefs, it's been tried once before. Spectacular failure.

Go to Wikipedia and look up "Prohibition".

  9. Well, I think...............uh you want to remove all alcoholic beverages, well that's very, uh

    HAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

    FUNNY.

Good luck in all your ventures.  I hope this finds you in good health and spirits.

  10. BOLLOCKS, BOLLOCKS, BOLLOCKS!!!

    Get out your Bible.

    Read it thoroughly, NOT selectively.

You will find twice as many passages extolling the use of alcohol for entertainment, for health and well-being, for celebration and other valid reasons.  It was considered a precious asset of the household.

Jesus turned water into wine!  Only puritanical revisionists believe it was grape juice!

Don't try and force your fallacious morality on others: for they will come to judge you and your house, and will find YOU wanting in some manner.

Prohibition has been tried.  It failed.  Deal with it!!!!

You give Christians like me a bad name!  At least I know my Bible, and my theology is sound, so come up with a biblical argument that supports your point, or leave my faith out of it because you are mis-representing it.

    EDIT

Two thumbs down! I'll drink to that!

  11. Remove alcohol beverages, you are right there needs to be something done about it. It has cause many deaths are in the thousands the number multiplies every year, it needs to be removed from society. It doesn't serve no purpose. We have removed tobacco from our streets and public places. Why not remove alcohol beverages. Yes I agree and stand and have other supporters who believe the same. Lets take action now, the sooner the better, and next generation will thank us for that.

  12. Surely you jest?

  13. What right have you to tell me what I can do? Focus on your own life and stop trying to control everyone. Its totally un-enforceable any way because its so easy to make. All you would do is take away money from the government and pipe it into illegal crime syndicates.

  14. I know a place you would love! No alcohol at all!  Saudi Arabia!

  15. We tried that..... it didn't work.

In fact (get ready for a debate) why do Christians feel the need to force their views on other people?    Does alcohol destroy some lives... yes.   Yes it does.    However simply removing it from that persons life would not instantly make them a better person.   They would not find God.... they would find a substitute.  Instead of liquor they would be using drugs, or prostitutes, or simply something else.    There are plenty other legal drugs.   Why not remove coffee?   Or legal pain killers... they can be even more addictive.

The US is not a religious nation.   Religion and state are separate.   Other people in this country do not share your views so why do you get to say we should get rid of this because my God doesn't like it!    People's interpretation of what God wants has caused:  Death of the Aztecs, the Spanish Inquisition, burning of half of Rome, and a number of holy crusades.    That is just all before the Industrial era!?!   I think Jesus in the bible said it best "Love thy Neighbor."   No where does that mean tell them what to do and force your views on other people.

  16. I think someone would revolt on ya if you REALLY were serious.

I get the whole 'christian ' thing - my ILs are really christian - (I am Catholic ) - so at CHRISTmas time out of 14 only 3 drink -

and no, we don't discuss it

  17. Go study your history books...

During the 13 years of Prohibition crime rates sored. Murder rates were the highest they've ever been in the US. The government lost over 13 billion dollars of tax revenue and had to take the ATF from around 600 agents to over 3,000 increasing the payroll budget exponentially. Then there were the thousands and thousands of American workers who lost their jobs at breweries, vineyards and distilleries. Do you want to be responsible for a family going hunger?

Every time prohibition of alcohol has been tried it has been a miserable failure. Georgia colony, the state of Massachusetts and the whole US.

Furthermore, stop drinking the kool-aid. When used in moderation alcohol has far more health benefits than detractors. Your view is narrow-minded and uneducated. Next time you feel like persecuting alcohol and the people who drink it, do some research and learn the facts...not the propaganda.

    EDIT:

    This is bugging me:

"If we can renew Christianity from schools, and other public places."

What? Maybe, I'm dumb...but this statement doesn't make sense to me. Did you mean "remove" and not "renew"?

    EDIT 2:

You know what's funny...all these people going on about religion. In countries like Belgium the best alcohol is made by monks.

  18. i don't think it will every happen they are making too much money off of it. i do agree they should becuse alcohol destroys peoples lives for sure. they should get rid of alcohol & start letting people smoke pot instead.

  19. Prohibition doesn't work: its a fact.  The US would start doing what they did then, making speakeasies, and brewing their own in their homes, causing more deaths & crimes.

Alcohol isn't evil.  Its those that use it irresponsibly thats at fault.   This same philosopy you are spewing can be put in for almost every other product that someone enjoys in the world:

fat is evil, its causing the US to be fat, and should be banned

salt is evil, its causing artery disease and should be banned

TV is evil, people sit around and don't exercise

on and on, lets just ban everything.
