I notice that whenever I feel these extreme emotions, I usually end up with worsened asthma symptoms. Sometimes I get bad asthma attacks after feeling those emotions. Does this happen to anybody else?

  1. Stress and anxiety have been known to trigger asthma attacks and also worsen symptoms. I've often observed this in students, so I would think yes.

  2. Most definitely.  I don't know the connection specifically but my dauther has asthma that is considered mild and when she becomes stressed about something it will show up.  It seems to aggravate things tremendously but I don't know why.  And, for those who might not know, asthma is not all in your head.

  3. Emotions such as Nervousness, excitement, and fear are all linked to stress, Stress can cause a number of bad things to happen to your body, and asthma is certainly one of them.

  4. count me in! usually when I'm stressed or upset or grieving i have a mega ashma attack... not fun...
