Could ch 7s coverage get any worse after just one week?

ch 7 in sydney has hit a all time low, last week coll v adel was on at 12 35 am, this friday night St Kilda v Richmond the coverage starts at 1 40am, even ch 9 was never this bad

I think its wrong as you say 12.35 am,Its a deliberate attempt by cable networks to get everyone on their pay TV sites !

remember that this is only NAB cup...pre season not the real deal.

no body watches the NAB cup as it doesnt show any form for the season propper. who ever wins it seems to never be in the 8 at the end of the season propper.

wait till it really begins before we start having a go at the telecast.

Typical Ch 7 !  I know its just the NAB Cup but are they so stupid and obvlivious that there are Collingwood & Adelaide fans all over the country not just in Melbourne!

My belief is that if a free to air channel choses not to show a sporting event live, then Pay TV should be allowed to show it live. Foxtel has the ability to show different programmes in different states, it does this with AFL already

It depends where u r in da world coz im in adelaide we got it live. the worst thing ch 7 did was get bak the supercars coz they chop out some of either one dependin wats on first.

Yes it could get worse and the games could start really late which could make things more disastrous.

Give them some time. 7 did have sole rights to the footy for a very long time and then the AFL went to the highest bidder. They then threw nearly every dollar they had to get them back.

Just watch what they are doing the NAB Cup is going to be all over the shop as an up you AFL and viewers for not supporting 7 to keep the footy. They should then pull their socks up in the Proper season because they are reliant on the money the AFL will bring in not to go bust over the massive amount of money they have to pay the AFL for coverage rights.

As you said though thank god for FOXTEL we do get great coverage there and do not have to put up with the school yard antics 7, 10 and at sometimes 9 gave the public.

The commentary was absouloutly poor they had no enthusiam what so ever.

When the first goal was scored they were like "goodwin marks, goal" but heaps more unenthusiastic.

It  8.30pm in Melbourne, when the footy coverage starts. For the Adelaide and Collingwood. So i have no problem with channel 7.

p.s Melbourne is the home of Footy.

Wish I could see anything on channel 7 so I could comment.

We can't see sh*t for footy on television in America. I would watch at 12:35 or 1:40 a.m. if I had a chance.

I will still continue to say to all in Oz, enjoy what you have for footy on television. If you come over here to America for holiday during the season, make sure you have the Internet with you so you can check on the scores, news of footy.

Please help me get my footy in the USA. Still an unknown if Setanta sports shows any footy, never have known anybody that has ever watched the channel in the USA.

I dont think Perth even had the game on on ch 7. there was a replay on the next day on fox sports...but by then id been here and seen who won so it didnt matter to me.

Crows vs Collingwood was live in S.a at 8pm

During normal footy season we get the friday night match st 8.30pm like this week.

but on sunday when crows or Power are at Ammi on fox we would get the match delayed and have Channel 7 match live

Ahhhhhhhhhh the sounds of football are already here, the agony and the moans heard by all who at one stage or another have been the victims of terrible sports coverage.

I really do hope that this year there will be no close ups of walls at the wrong time, or at any time during the game, Football is what i want to see, not a poor attempt to telecast.

I am also glad Foxtel is around at least then if the telecast is bad i know i can see a better coverage of another game somewhere else.
