Could copper iud removal cause period to change so drastically???

had copper paragard iud for 4 years removed june 11 and every since my cycle takes longer to come and is only a day long with very light bleeding when it is usually 5 days long and very heavy and like clockwork on the 20th or a day different. did anyone of you ahve this issue with your period totally changing after having this iud removed? ( people that had the hormonal mirina iud please dont respond since the iud i had was non hormonal and they are two totally different kinds)

  1. I just got my paragard out as well and had to call the dr last week because I was only spotting.  My period actually got better since it was removed but I had one day where it wasn't spotting.  I think it just takes a few months since your cervix could be traumatized.  At least that is what my dr thought.
