Lets say I drank a glass of water before I slept. When I woke up, I took a pregnancy test with my morning urine. Could the glass of water possibly affect the accuracy of the test?

  1. It's possible, but probably not if it was last night.  Drinking before a pregnancy test can dilute your urine, so that the test is negative.

  2. no. if the HCG is there, its there and no amount of water will change that fact

  3. I don't think so... morning urine is usually the most concentrated... enough time would have passed since you drank that last glass of water. If you were drinking water, and other things during the day, and then you took your test, then yes it could affect it, bc by then your urine would be very diluted.

  4. If you drank a glass of water then took a test an hour later it might affect the results and could give a false negative, but if you drink a glass of water before bed it shouldn't affect the results.

  5. No, the water shouldn't have had an affect on the test. Especially if you didn't take the test til the next morning. The test instructions normally say to avoid a large amount of fluid intake right before taking the test but a whole night period, wouldn't have affected the accuracy of the test.

  6. No.

  7. No

  8. No not at all.

  9. Not if you drank it before you went to bed.

  10. No. Water has no effect on the results of a pregnancy test.
