Could focusing on the computer screen for too long cause broken veins in eyes?

Spending time at a computer can cause your eyes to become dry because you blink less when you are concentrating.  I guess that makes it more likely that you will rub your eyes causing them to go red but I don't think that it would cause broken veins.  That's more likely to come from coughing, sneezing or high blood pressure among other causes.  see your eye doctor.
