Could giant current transformers be erected that could collect energy from streamers of lightning bolts?

Responding to even a fraction of that lightning bolt so as to charge effecient capacitors and thence resonant circuits that would then be rectified to charge batteries that would then release DC energy to run generators or provide DC Power to the electric grid?

This along with hydroelectric and solar and geothermal could help us have necessary future power?

This is an interesting idea. However the supply of such energy would be very erratic and could not be depended on. That is the first problem since electricity after generation cannot be stored. The technology for this technique would be very very expensive due to the high voltage and extremely high current flows of most lightning.
