Could I get into hot water doing this (promoting my website)?

I just want to assume the worst possible scenario.

  1. IT depends on wherre , how and whats on the stickers!  If you are near a retail biz, youll need permission--if you are placing trademarked icons on the stickers, thats a problem!  If you are putting X rated material or other info that is not family friendly, you could get heat from the public.....

  2. if you do it in front of a place you need their promission and just dont be harassing. you should put a link of your website on this question that would help promote it if you dont mind email me a link of your website kyledabom@yahoo.com

  3. The law will vary from place to place. As the other posters said in most cases as long as it's "family friendly" you won't have a problem.

I would suggest also that unless it's at a particular place where people are gathered who would be in your exact target market, you might not have much luck just randomly handing out stickers in the street. They will cost you reaonsable money to print vinyl bumper stickers and a lot will just end up in the bin. If you use cheap offset (paper) printed stickers any people that DO stick them say on somewhere like a car will be disapointed as they wont wear well.

So in short, I think you won't get in trouble but it may not be as successful as you hope.

    Good luck!
