I have a 44 gallon tank with the following fish:

2 Guppies

2 Angels

2 Clown Loaches

2 Red Sunset Dwarf Gouramis

1 Pleco

I also have another 5 gallon tank with 2 dwarf frogs,

could i put my dwarf frogs in the big tank with my other fish?

( Feeding my frogs is not problem, i can hand feed them so i dont need to worry about them starving).

  1. yes try it and see ifthey fight if they do then take them out

  2. ok first off, don't do it, i say this cause of a few problems, the clown loaches, the angelfish, and the pleco. I'm sure the pleco you have is the common verity that are blackish with a white poka dot look. they can reach up to 2 feet, and tend to be mean to anything that's on the fishtanks floor bed. the clown loaches are also going to need to be in groups of five or they will become real aggressive and try to tear up your other fish--they also reach 7 inches--, the angelfish are a breed of cichlid which no one is hardly ever told. so those will pick on your dwarfs, i would keep them in the 5 gallon and actually add your guppies over to them.  the sunset gouramis are no trouble cause they aren't that mean. i would look into selling or giving the pleco away cause he will not be comfortable in a tank that small, i suggest looking for a fish store that either carries or can order you a zebra pleco L106 species, make sure you ask for that species because they only get 3 and 1/4th inch. good luck and hope everything comes out fine.

  3. well frogs need land and water so i would think that as long as they have a big piece of dry land to lay on and the water temperature is the same in both tanks, it would be fine. also make sure the breed of fish arent big enough to eat them and wont become agressive towards them

  4. the only ones i would worry about picking on the frogs would be the angels. they like to pick but as long as you have a few places for them to hide they should be fine. good luck with the transfer. when I transfer fish to a new tankI always feed the fish that are in the tank to slow them down a little from attacking. Also I move things around in the tank, rocks, wood and plants. this will send all into checking out there new surroundings instead of looking for someone to pick on.
