I'm 15 and have only been dancing for a year, and i really love it, it just feels so right. Is it too late to pursue dancing as a career, even if I put a lot of effort in?

thanks :)

  1. Yes, you definitely could. Here are some tips to keep you going!

    * Don't give up. If you feel something's too hard, just try your best.

    * Practice. Every dancer will tell you this. The more you practice, the more technique and experience you will get.

    * Come to all of your dance lessons. Don't miss a single one!

    * Work your backside off in your lessons. You won't regret it!

    * Take as many lessons as you can. The more the better, but it's OK if you can only do one class.

    * If you're allowed to do more than one class, these will help:

Acrobatics/gymnastics. It's always good if you can do a trick or two.

Classical Ballet. It helps with all styles of dance.

Pilates/yoga. They also help with technique and flexibility.

    * Be healthy. If you're healthy, you'll be a good dancer, and I'm not talking about the technique.

    * Listen to any advice or tips any dancers have to give you.

Don't worry, you're never too old. Trust me.

I've seen a guy on a dance TV show, not SYTYCD, who impressed me by saying he only started dancing a year ago! He was about 30.

And also 30 year old ladies do classical lessons and they're good!

But also remember the world of dance is a tough one.

Are you sure you want to spend your life with it?

Dancing is hard and you don't get paid much for it.

Maybe you should just do the lessons and practice, then get a job and if you see any auditions for dance shows such as So You Think You Can Dance, give it a go!

But it's all your choice so do whatever you like.

Hope I helped and good luck with your future dancing career!

    DDxx

  2. go for it if you really love it

  3. Yes why not. It depends on your will and the efforts you put in to learn Best of luck..

  4. It's never too late to start dancing. ;) You might want to take some classes, though. They give you experience, more friends, and also help you learn new stretches and moves.

    Good luck!!

  5. No I don't think so, bcoz I myself is crazy for dance & I'm 20 Years old. I m not perfect in dancing, but still i want to learn dance. I feel that if u r really interested in a thing than that can make your career also. For Eg: May be in future you can have your own dancing class & it's a souce of good income also. It also keeps us fit. So plz. don't leave dancing!

  6. It's not too late at all. You'll just have to work that much harder to compete with the people that started dancing as soon as they could walk. Just gotta work hard, persevere, and have a lot of passion. Know that you'll probably experience a lot of rejection, so keep with it! =)

  7. all it means is your going to have to work 15 times harder then anyone else.

that means going more then 3 times a week DEF!!

stretching like crazy every second you get

practsing in all your spare time instead of being on yahoo answers

    get ready for

a lot of sweat and tears but if you make it onto that stage knowing you worked and gave up your social life for the art

you will feel happiness no one can ever take away from you

SO WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR

go nwo practise stretch, learn ballet termology off my heart

you have a long hard road ahead

its up to you to make it a successfull one.

  8. If you REALLY love it that much, go ahead. But, don't give up the first time you fall down, just get back up and try again. Not many make it as pro dancers, but, if you don't, you could always TEACH dance.

  9. It's never everrr too late to pursue in something you love.

    Go for it.

    Have fun.
