  1. Yes, you very well could be. But you might not be, either. Every one is different, that may just be how your bones are structured. But if you can bend it the opposite way it's supposed to, then you probably are.

  2. every body is double jointed! when u say double joint  u'll be referring to the shoulder- elbow joint. and since Three bones form the elbow joint when u put ur arm straight they are not in a line and hence forms a bulging.. tats it..

  3. The correct term is hyper-flection. There is no such thing as 'double jointed' as this would mean that you have two joints in the one area! Very odd looking indeed!

What you have is very flexible ligaments and tendons which support this joint.

Depending on your age, this may be age related or may not. Younger children tend to be very flexible and as they get older these ligaments and tendons tend to naturally shorten a bit and lose a little of the flexibility. Thtis is one reason gymasts start at such a young age - to develop and keep that flexibility.

There is a condition called sublaxation where the ligaments are quite slack and tend not to hold the joint steady and give it the support it needs. These joints tend to dislocate or 'pop out' frequently. It can be remedied with a surgical tightening of the ligaments.
