Could i do this/is this possible??

if i majored in early childhood education and minored in art, could i become a teacher and also be a pressional photographer with that???

I know several teachers who have side jobs (by choice or by necessity!).  You just need to start photographing events for family and friends and build a portfolio.  Consider getting a business name and getting licensed because eventually, joining some type of business network (for example, of wedding professionals) can provide you with many job leads.  Often networking groups have requirements about how long you've been a licensed business.  Once you get a portfolio of work, get a website up and running.  Create an advertising pamphlet and see about leaving it at area businesses.  Once you're established, this could easily be done as a weekend job and could quite probably earn you more than your teaching salary!

yes you could probably either teach preschool or possibly even kindergarten with the ece degree.  Professional photography on the side or for private events would be a good way to supplement your income.  Don't think you have to have an actual degree to photograph people/things/events.
