  1. I think it will be okay for you to do that but, i'm sorry I'm not a vet.

  2. in an emergency I would have done the same.

    cats are my favorite people.

  3. That was a bad idea. You basically just gave your cat tylenol and that is toxic to cats. Take you cat back to the vet you could lose your cat over that mistake.

Maybe if you felt that you cat was in some pain you should have asked your vet for the proper pain management for a cats metabolism rather than attempting to shut your cats liver down.

:(  Never do this with out the guidance of your veterinarian. IF you are uncomfortable with your veterinarians decision on your pet then you should find yourself another vet.

  4. I know you wanted to help your cat because she was in pain, but please never be tempted to give them any medicine intended for humans unless your vet instructs you to do so.  Some medicines that are safe for us and even dogs can be fatal to cats.  Paracetamol is poisonous to cats and could have caused her serious liver damage, so you did the right thing by giving her nothing at all.

I hope she's feeling better soon and is home before long.

  5. No, you did the right thing by waiting.  Never give animals human medicines, not even half a paracetemol. Probably wouldn't help them much anyway especially cats as they have high pain tolerance. The vet would have given her something while you were waiting if she'd needed it.  Hope she recovers well.

  6. I am sure paracetamol is toxic to cats so you were correct not to give it any. Hope it is on the mend now though I just lost my 19 year old cat at the end of June I was devastated

  7. If the animal looks as though its going to need surgery then ANY medication would NOT be advisable.

  8. You did the right thing. She might have fallen into a coma or worse. Cats and dogs are very different, not least from humans.

  9. I wouldn't have done.

  10. I would not give my cats anything that the vet does not prescribe for them or say that it is ok to give to them and give me the proper dosage.
