About 3 weks ago i was fishing and i had to walk down a stream in the woods i had no shoes on and before i left the area i noticed i had a leech on my toe and so i pulled it off. There was a bruise which was gone by a week but now i have a thumb knuckle sized bump on my toe that itches terribly..these symptoms are similar to sysmptoms seen in patients who have lime disease from ticks...could i have lime disease from a leech? and is there a cure for lime disease?

  2. Lyme Disease is usually carried by deer ticks, not leeches.  You probably just have a bug bite of some sort on your toe.  Not a big deal.

  3. Well, Lyme Disease from a tick you would see a bullseye. I think every Lyme Disease case you would see a bullseye. I don't think you do have it, but just make a doctor look at it just in case.
