Could i move to barbados?is work easy to find?

hi there,

im english but live in Portugal. i am planning on moving away... and somewhere like Barbados would be the ideal place... could i realistically move, work and live in Barbados? i dont have much money to start off with... any info aprecciated ....or suggestions

  1. Hi, it is not wise just to move there and then look for work. Because what if you end up not finding a job at all can be really frustrating.

    It depends on what kind of field you are interested, what experiences you have before you plan on moving. One of the ideas is to find job ads online like on http://www.nationnews.com/ but even better if you get a company to sponsor you.

    You need to start saving some more because Barbados is an expensive place to live. I have lived there temporarily with a family (my friends') and know that money can go so fast in short period of time.

    It is a very beautiful island.


  2. you should have a job lined up before you move. there is booming hospitilaty industry. but jobs are tight, you literally could live on the beach, but they have laws against that, and be advised, they only give 6 month visas

  3. h**l no, most of the people there are leaving to live in Canada. It's generally not a smart idea!
