  1. why don't you try looking it up on the net

  2. no harm in trying :)

  3. you could try but she might reject it as they are not her own.. do you have an incubator if she does reject it.. maybe just set up a draw or box with blankets and a lamp, you know like in that movie fly away home..

    good luck..

  4. i wouldn't bcuz they already sound like a lot of money. and the budgie might reject it,bcuz it was not her own or

she might harm them or kill/eat them bcuz they aren't hers. so she will think it will just b a piece of food, just like in the water

  5. It will be a waste of money. First off you need a hen that will be ready and line up with the eggs. A parakeet lays her eggs every other day. They also hatch out every other day. Sometimes a hen won't get broody until the second egg is laid and that means that there will be two babies hatch out on the same day. The remainder of the eggs will hatch out every other day if they are fertile.

Parakeet eggs can't take much jostling before they are scrambled. I have brought them from across town and they didn't hatch. If you could find a breeder in town that would let you take the eggs every other day. Be careful handling them.

Every time you touch a egg. oil comes off of your finger tips and blocks the pores in the egg shell.  I have a plastic serving spoon that I use to handle the eggs. Then if you have to store them the best way is to put them in a bowl about half full of the meal. Put the eggs in there and finish filling the bowl up. Put the lid on it and turn it over every day. Gently.

You need to have a couple pair of birds set up to try this. The hens have to lay to be able to pull it off. Doesn't your male fertilize the eggs? I don't understand unless you have a single hen who is laying eggs?  I have been around keets for a long, long time and I have never seen parakeet eggs for sale.
