Depends on the shredder.  I have shredded truck load quantities of clothing in ours.

I think it will shred them especially if you have an industrial shredder.  At my last job, corporate bought us an industrial shredder for our office and we tried shredding everything!!  You would be surprised how powerful those machines are!!

You should at least remove the elastic waste and leg bands.  I don't know what the rest would do.
