  1. Is Britzinoz saying that the UK site power supply is 110v?. We have 240v power in Australia, same as UK. I do believe that the Hz, or whatever the technical term is, is different, which may cause some loss of power in things like power tools (and hairdryers).

Good quality power tools are exceptionally heavy things, and as such it may be just plain uneconomic to ship used items such as that to Australia. We do have them here you know.

Also, spares & repairs may be unavailable for them in Australia. Also,AQIS may be very fussy indeed about allowing into Australia items that have been used on wood, on building sites, in the open etc.

Consider it this way, if you sell them in the UK you may indeed loose money on second-hand values, but then to re-purchase similar items in Australia second-hand will make a commensurate saving and you won't have paid to freight them over.

  2. You may have a problem if you use the common 110v British site tools.

All Australian sites use the full 240v power.

A few Brits have brought a transformer with them, but end up using Australian tools.  You could keep yours for home use with a transformer though.

  3. Usually OK. They often use 210 volts. The only thing is the plugs are different.

  4. you will need to change the plugs

and to get them past customs they will need to be really clean
