Could i take the storage disk out of my external HD and?

most External drivers are just the cases with any drives plugged in to them,so u should be fine

Yes,you can take it out and put it in your computer.But jumper is as "Slave" if you want to use it as a backup. Or " Master" if its your primary hard drive.
