  1. I have a recipe for Chocolate Emergency Cookies that started out as  a sugar cookie recipe, but I'm in the process of mioving and the recipe is packed. You may contact me at gipsonfamily_wyo@yahoo.com and I will be more than happy to share it with you. Just give me a couple days.

  2. I would think not so much because the cookies you mentioned more often have brown sugar and maybe oatmeal.  These are soft moist cookies sugar cookie is almost more like a firm dough.

What I would do with the sugar cookie is cut it in small rounds, put into mini muffin tin and make them tartlets- add mincemeat or pie filling or jam.

Another one I do is like sugar cookies but they are sandwiched with jam and then either icing on top or icing sugar dusting.

I think with the sugar cookie you want to back away from something that adds sweetness like chocolate chips in it.  Lemon filling would also be good.

  3. Roll your sugar cookie dough out on a lightly floured surface as close to a square as you can get it.

Spread seedless raspberry jam or your favorite (any flavor & not too thick) over the entire square leaving about a half inch without jam on the side of your square the farthest from you.

Roll the square starting from the closest side to you to the side without jam.

You now have a log.  Wrap it in wax paper or cling wrap and refrigerate for a few hours or overnight with the seam down on a flat surface.

Cut in 1/3 inch rounds and bake.

    Beautiful and tasty pinwheels!

  4. just put different things with it, and maybe you will come up with something you like.  try red hots...
