Could i work on maternity allowance?

i'm on maternity allowance and i have seven weeks till it finished could i work up to 16 hours and the job not effect my maternity allowance

  1. Most companies have the rule that while you're employed with them, even when on any kind of leave, you are not permitted to be employed anywhere else without prior notification or permission.

    I think that if you want to get a part time job you'll need to talk to a boss of some sort (that's higher than your manager). You'll probably need to read through your policies and procedures manual too.

    When i went on Maternity leave, they sent a letter in the mail stating the policy on the subject. Then i extended my leave to leave without pay, because i wasn't entitled to another maternity leave, and they sent me another letter with their policy about leave without pay.

    I was researching this the other day as Im expecting at the moment,

    I think you are allowed to work for 10 days without this effecting your MA they are called Keep in touch days But anything over this I think you need to tell them about.
