Question:

Could it be an evaporation line or a positive HPT?

I took a test -4 days before expected period, and had a very faint positive result at 3 minutes. I have had several negative tests since, but could still be pretty early. Could it be that this test just picked it up, and I haven't had enough HCG in my system since?

  1. I would just keep posting.  Too bad you don't have  a pic to post for us, that would help too!

And yes, you can have negatives and positives because of HCG levels.  And depending on what tests you take.  Wait until you are due and then test again with you FMU.  If still no period callyou doc for a HCG beta!

  2. it could be too early i would wait it depends also on time of day etc....

You may find some more answers and advice at www.bumpsandbeyond.friendhood.net we have aTTC area as well

  3. I think HCG only goes up...so if you had enough for one and you are still pregnant it won't suddenly be negative...it's possible that you had a chemical pregnancy :( or like you say it may have been evap line.

  4. it really depends on what type of test you are using and when you are using it for the negatives to keep coming up, i would test with a named brand like clear blue or 1st response with 1st morning urine, did you use the same tests for the positive and the negatives? and what time off day did you take them? as that makes all the difference to you hcg levels
